Summer Camp 2017

Hello! My name is Albert, and I'm the team captain of Vertical Projectile. I'm excited to announce Vertical Projectile will hold a free summer camp on Saturdays 3 p.m.-6 p.m., starting June 4, 2017, at 9 Truman St, Irvine, CA.

An information session was held for parents and students 4:15 p.m.-6 p.m. on June 4, 2017, Sunday. Click here for that session's briefing.

We become much more immersed in aerospace as a result of simultaneously juggling NASA Student Launch and TARC projects. We have learned to solve problems that challenged our intuition, exploit teamwork, manage our time effectively, and launch our own designs. In essence, we have become the definition of amateur rocket scientists.

But all of our achievements would not have been possible without first participating in TARC. We want to introduce youth to this competition because it launched our interest in the STEM. All students grade 7 - 12 who are interested in going into the STEM field and aerospace should attend this camp. The camp will introduce students to model rocket design, lectures on basic rocket science, and team building for the upcoming TARC 2018 season.

Thanks to the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center for providing this camp's facilities.
