5th Place at Washington D.C.

It all began in 2014. Originally consisting of six members, the Vertical Projectile team has grown to 11 members. Many of the original members have graduated, and new students have joined.

Vertical Projectile consists of 11 members from Southern California high schools. We usually have our launches in Lucerne Dry Lake, which is in the middle of the Mojave desert.

We are determined to reach first place in the Team America Rocketry Challenge, and we are currently improving a code-named project called Proto.

We also have our sights set on first place in NASA's Student Launch program.
