DAvid's Biography

Hello, my name is David Chang. I am in eleventh grade at Northwood High School. Although I am
a beginner to TARC and basic rocketry concepts, I have become accustomed to designing
rockets on Rocksim through the help of my friends. While being a part of the Vertical Projectile
team is a big commitment, I have also committed much of my time and effort into my other
interests: swimming and piano. My favorite subjects in school include math, science, and music
theory. While I did not begin as the most experienced member in Vertical Projectile, through my
dedication and enthusiasm for improving the rocket, I have excelled in my knowledge of physics
and aerospace. Now that we have achieved finals, I know my hard work has paid off! Thank
you!

Personal Input

As a young novice entering the unknown field of aerospace, I timidly experimented with various designs of rockets. Like most beginners, I joined the rocket team mainly out of curiosity and had no real interest with designing the model rockets. Little did I know that this experience would change my interest for learning forever. Within my one year in this team, it easy to see how I transformed from a normal schoolboy, regularly swimming and practicing piano, to a normal schoolboy, regularly swimming, practicing piano, and designing complex rockets. Actually, the skills I gained as an avid member of this rocketry team has helped me improve my timemanagement skills and has increased my productivity level. Thanks to this experience, I am no more organized as a person and have become a more disciplined student. My passion for winning finals has also fueled my competitive mentality and driven me to peak performances in swimming competitions. Thank You!
